Greenville, S.C. Friends Of The Library Organization Visits McCormick

TAYLOR REYNOLDS, PRESIDENT of the Greenville, SC chapter of the “Friends of the Library” group, along with five of their volunteers, recently spent the day in McCormick meeting with representatives of our local FOL leadership.
Among the several topics of discussion were McCormick’s success with Books on Main, Amazon book sales, and volunteer coordination to, name only a few.

The group also toured our library, meeting with our director, Paul Brown. Chris Dickenson, Bookshop Manager, Janice Bright, Volunteer Coordinator and Laura Clegg, Treasurer answered the many questions the visiting group had about the Books on Main enterprise and the workings of our local FOL group.
Following lunch in town, the Greenville group visited the Willington Bookshop to see another successful retail operation and to further discuss topics of interest with volunteers there.
Cooperation between the many chapters of the South Carolina Friends of the Library organizations helps to improve each individual group; inspires local organizations to welcome visits such as Greenville’s visit to McCormick and Willington.

We encourage all book lovers to support the “McCormick Friends of the Library” in their many efforts, by visiting Books on Main and taking advantage of the amazing resources our downtown library has to offer.
For further information on McCormick’s FOL contact Sandy Menard, President or Volunteer Coordinators, Barb Rothermal or Janice Bright.
